Today the Navajo Nation announced that that the number of positive coronavirus cases on the Nation has reached fourteen. The majority of cases involve individuals who first reported their symptoms to the Kayenta IHS Service Unit, and others who either reported to, or were transported to, or were treated at Chinle Chinle Health Care Facility, and Northern Navajo Medical Center.
Shelter-in-place: Chilchinbeto
The Navajo Nation has ordered a shelter-in-place order for the community of Chilchinbeto: residents should remain in their home; The Nation’s order also placed limits on fast-food businesses to drive-thru services, suspends all flea markets and indoor/outdoor markets, and prohibits social gatherings of 10 or more persons with exemptions for retail or grocery stores, and hospitals.
